About
the Your Name in Soap program from the inventor and designer Danial
Miller.
For
more in depth information on the why and how the Your Name in Soap
program was started, please visit the About Us page on the Your Name

From
the chocolate name site, you will learn more about the issue I dealt
with in having my work taken to China, and why I began my own work here
to provide my customers with soap and chocolate molds with names in
them.
The
soap program is a natural addition to the chocolate name program which
takes advantage of the expensive mold components used to produce both
series of molds. I use a non food certified grade white HIPS plastic
to make all my soap molds from so they can easily be kept separate from
the food grade molds which use clear PETG plastic for food contact safety.
The White HIPS plastic is also quite a bit thicker and tougher to handle
the ingredients of Melt and Pour soaps that people use to cast their
own bars with. It is more expensive and takes much longer to heat and
form than the PETG material, but is worth the difference for soap making
molds.
I
spent a great deal of time over several years to perfect the custom
mold making process I use to make custom molds and just recently started
to use the same process to start building the Your Name in Soap and
Chocolates programs with. I plan to diversify as much as possible using
these mold components to make molds and products for my customers at
an affordable price.
As
an inventor and designer, the most difficult part of any new product
development is getting it out of the design phase and into production
and into the hands of the end user. The Internet has been a blessing
and at times a horrible disappointment in moving this process along.
If I did not have the skills to make my own web sites and work with
graphics, all of my work on new products would have been impossible
to bring to the public at large.
After spending well over a thousand hours building listings for eBay
for my entire line of concrete molds and other stock molds, they shut
down the automated listing software used to load the listings to their
auction and store site and tried to force the use of another software
that still does not function to this day to the satisfaction of its
users. That experience taught me that the only way to ensure all your
work isn't wiped out overnight by a large company that doesn't care
if you exist or not, nor care about anything but the money you spent
to help them get as large as they became, is to create a home or store
of your own online without the infrastructure and problems of these
large companies to rely on.
The
web has its share of issues to deal with, but no more than a brick and
mortar store. Today with fuel prices going out of site, more people
are willing to shop from home and even more people are looking at ways
to make life more interesting and fun at home, so I hope what I do will
add a little spark to that picture.
I
am always available to speak with on the phone or you can email me with
questions and comments anytime. I try and follow up as quickly as possible,
so please do not hesitate to call or write.
