Bars
above are shown with a 6 letter name in soap and a 3 letter name in
soap to show the difference in size of the name. When a name has less
or more letters as in the image examples below, we adjust the size of
the name to fit inside the standard bar sizes available on this site.
Since
we are the manufacturer, there will not be a name we won't carry, and
if we don't have your name already to make a mold with, we will make
it as soon as you order it and you won't have to pay for having a custom
mold made as it will become another stock name added to our already
growing list we can make Your Name in Soap molds with.
Q.
What are the molds for the Your Name in Soap made from?
A.
We use white HIPS non food grade plastic for all of our soap molds.
Q.
How long will the Your Name in Soap molds last?
A.
We can't definitively tell you how long our molds will last, but we
can tell you that we have used our own molds to make our own soaps with
for years. Melt & Pour Soap is very easy to cast, and does not require
mold release to be put on the molds since it already contains its own
self lubricants. As long as care is taken of the molds and they are
treated gently and stored in a safe place when not in use, they will
last a very long time.
Q.
How can I clean my Your Name in Soap molds?
A.
Use warm soapy water and a soft cloth to clean your molds. DO NOT PUT
IN A DISH WASHER! A dish washer will be to hot and harsh for these molds
and will ruin them. Rinse them well in clean water and pat them dry
with a soft cloth or paper towel to keep water spots from forming on
them.
Q.
If you do not have my name in stock, how long will it take you to get
the molds made and shipped?
A.
We can make the master molds usually within one or two business days
and ship within that time frame also. Since our manufacturing process
has been set up now specifically for this project, we have it pretty
well streamlined to get the work done fast for our customers.
Q.
Can you make soaps for us using molds we purchase from you?
A.
We can, but we are limited on adding any chemical fragrances to soaps
we make. My wife has a condition called MCS or Multiple Chemical Sensitivity,
which makes all chemicals like insecticide, herbicide, and fragrance
containing products very dangerous to her. I also have this problem
to some extent and cannot tolerate fragrances and dryer sheets and a
few other of that type chemicals either.
All
of our soaps we produce will be fragrance free, but we can certainly
put in herbs and natural ingredients to make the bars interesting and
enjoyable, as well as healthy for your skin.
Keep
in mind, making your own soaps is very easy and fun to do, but we understand
that under some circumstances you may not be able to do them yourself
for whatever reason. Please use our Contact
Us page if you are thinking about having your soaps made for you
with molds you purchase from us.
Q.
Why are your soap molds a little more expensive than ones we can buy
from a local craft store?
A.
Your local craft store buys molds from a distributor that most likely
gets their supply from a source in China. Those molds are made on large
full inline automated production machines by the many thousands per
day while paying a pittance in wages to the people that work and slave
next to these machines.
Our
soap molds are made one at a time, by hand, using a custom setup on
a very unique machine that would not be possible in China, or anywhere
else for that matter. Our machinery was built specifically for this
type of work. The Your Name in Soap program is also an expensive
investment in both time and money put into the molds so we can make
these products for you. All of our products are made in the USA!
Q.
Where can I get Melt and Pour soap to use in the Your Name in Soap
molds?
A.
Most larger craft stores now carry several types of M&P or Melt
& Pour soap you can purchase to use in your new molds.
